David Ferrara, Venture Partner
In loving memory
1965 - 2009
Mr. Ferrara founded ProcessClaims in February 2000,
a company selling
web based applications to the insurance industry to
help in
streamlining the auto claims process. He was the
point person in
financing the company, raising over $10 million,
with his major
accomplishments including steering the company
through the April 2000
tech downturn and the crisis of 9/11, bringing the
company to
profitability in June 2002. Despite facing
competition from several
large competitors, including ADP, CCC and Accenture,
the company grew
into a formidable player in the insurance claims
software sector.
Mr. Ferrara was recently instrumental in leading the
sale of
ProcessClaims in June 2006. Prior to ProcessClaims,
Mr. Ferrara
founded Integrated Collision Management Inc., a
software company
serving the collision repair industry where he
currently serves on
its Board of Directors. Prior to ICM, Mr. Ferrara
founded and built
Sea Breeze Collision Centers into a prominent chain
of collision
repair centers in Orange County, CA, which he then
sold to AutoNation
in October 1998 in an all cash transaction. He has
a B.A. in
Economics from Bucknell University.
