Erik Bouts, CEO, Akzo Nobel Paints LLC
Erik Bouts is the chief executive officer of Akzo Nobel Paints LLC, the U.S. paints division of Dutch-based coatings and chemical giant, AkzoNobel. Headquartered near Cleveland, Akzo Nobel Paints LLC produces quality decorative coatings, adhesives and caulks. Prior to joining Akzo Nobel in 2007, he spent approximately 20 years in various leadership roles for Philips. He most recently was president and CEO of Philips Lighting North America and before that he led the Philips Global Shaving and Grooming business for several years.
Mr. Bouts holds a board of director position with the National Paint and Coatings Association (NPCA). He also is a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization. He received his bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Tilburg in the Netherlands.
