Michael B. Schwab, founder and Managing Director of Big Sky Partners, is an active and engaged investment professional with nearly a decade of experience investing in, and mentoring, early stage companies through every stage of company growth and technology/product development. Since founding Big Sky in 1999, Mr. Schwab has remained disciplined in his investment approach across all 18 portfolio company investments, highlighting the firm's primary focus on people first. Big Sky specializes in seed and Series A technology financing, applying a multi-sector investment strategy with a particular focus on the cleantech and alternative energy sectors. Mr. Schwab has extensive expertise in, and can offer entrepreneurs significant strategic contacts within, the clean energy, photovoltaic, next-generation Internet and global financial services industries, as well as broad exposure to emerging international real estate investment opportunities. Mr. Schwab currently sits on the Board of Directors of Solaicx, Mariah Power and MongoNet, and he has recently joined as a General Partner with Greenhouse Capital Partners (www.greenhousecapital.net), a cleantech-focused seed stage venture fund.
